In this workshop, we will break down versions of headstand and forearm stand, providing the tools necessary to enter the postures and hold them in place. Through the application of form, paired with the utilization of locks (bandhas) or key engagement centers in the body, we’ll discover the joy of pressing down to lift up. Once inverted, we begin gaining awareness into the balance and control required in these sometimes challenging asanas. All levels encouraged.

Once I began practicing, I quickly realized that yoga wasn’t merely limited to the physiological, but a complete system or tool that I could use to unwind my mind. In 2014, I received my 300-hour teacher training from The Yoga House (Piermont, NY), led by the steady guidance of Michael Penque. Since then, I have maintained a daily meditation practice influenced by Frank Vogt; In 2016, I completed a 30-hour Adjustments Intensive training with David Regelin; And I continue to study chanting and vinyasa yoga with Barbara Verrochi, the co-owner of The Shala (NYC). I’m humbled and eternally grateful to all my teachers in Rockland, NYC, and beyond. Read more about Tim
